Antimony repricing continues as western supply stays scarce

Export controls have moved antimony from an industrial afterthought to one of the most sharply repriced strategic minerals.

Antimony prices remain far above their historical range following the tightening of Chinese export licensing. With very few operating primary mines outside China, Russia and Tajikistan, western buyers of flame retardants, ammunition primers and lead-acid batteries have limited alternatives in the short term.

Development projects that carry antimony as a by-product credit have consequently gained strategic attention disproportionate to their contained value.
